Shanghai University - Mod'Art International Institute of Fashion and Arts

Shanghai University - Mod'Art International Institute of Fashion and Arts is a professional fashion institute jointly founded by Shanghai University and Mod'Art International in Paris in 2003.

Our institute, accepts applications from students worldwide. It has been the first Sino-French cooperation project specialized in fashion in Shanghai and the only fashion institute appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France for cultural exchange. It has also been the only fashion institute in Shanghai honored with the title of  “Top Ten Fashion Institutes in China”, jointly awarded by CNGA and CCTV and it has also been the first fashion institute to introduce Luxury Marketing and Management program in China.

Our French partner school was established in 1980s and is located in the center of Paris. It has membership of organizations including The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, Federation for Education in Europe, Eramus+, International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes. It has gained qualified certification of COORDINAMENTO NAZIONALE COUNSELLOR PROFESSIONISTI of France that can issue national certificates of Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles.

Mod'Art International has been the member school of GES Group (Le Réseau des Grandes Ecoles Spécialisées), one of the largest colleges and institutes leagues in France. There are 5000 students from bachelors to masters ( Bac+5) across ten colleges in GES in Paris.

Students can complete their undergraduate courses in Shanghai, and continue studying in any of those ten colleges. GES group has 28 MBA related courses, and is able to issue 12 qualifications that are recognized by the Department of Education in France.

Fashion Communication

International teachers are in charge of giving core courses to students, while lecturers, associate professors and professors from Shanghai University give foundation courses.

2.Faculty

Our faculty is divided into two groups. One group of teachers are professional Chinese professors, giving fundamental courses, while the other group of teachers are mainly from France and other countries, giving core courses in English.

3.Career Prospect

According to statistics, the annual employment rate of our graduates has reached 100%. 90% of graduates worked in the industry matching their majors. 25 % of graduates started their own businesses. 68% of graduates worked in international enterprises, 38% of which are well-known houses and brands. The average annual salary of graduates reaches RMB212,000 in 5 years after graduation.

4. Education System and Diploma

The education system of our institute is a three-year full-time undergraduate program. Students who have reached the required number of credits can obtain a diploma issued by Mod'Art International that is the same as the one issued in Paris, and a certificate of completion of undergraduate program issued by Shanghai University. Our students can also benefit from graduate programs abroad:

Program: 3(Shanghai) + 1.5 (18 months MBA courses)

Program: 3 (Shanghai) + 2 (24 months graduate course)

-Credits of three-year study in Shanghai are accepted by Mod'Art International.

-Under-graduates can apply for studying at Mod'Art International or any institute of the GES group to take graduate courses.

-There are two graduate programs: MBA program of EIML for 18 months, graduate program of Mod'Art International for 24 months.

-Both English and French courses are available to students.

-Students will be awarded Master Degree, recognized internationally and by the Ministry of Education in China.

5.Enrollment

Our institute accepts applications from students graduating from high schools or equivalent schools (including secondary school, vocational and technical school). Admission: the applicants will take an interview in accordance with French enrollment standards.

Starting date: new semester starts in March and September each year. Enrollment is open throughout the year.

Free pre-school training camp will be offered in February and August for freshmen students who wish to get familiar with the environment and courses that will be deepened once the semester will have started.
