On October 17 of 2018, the "Oriental Market" Cup of China Fashion Design Competition Finals and Awards Ceremony was held in the Fashion Publishing Hall of Dongfang Textile City, Shengze Town, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The competition was jointly organized by the China National Textile and Apparel Council, the China Textile Information Center, the National Textile Product Development Center, and the People's Government of Shengze Town. In this competition, nearly 700 design works from 136 international designers participated in the competition, and finally 10 designers were selected for the finals.

Cao Yajuan, a professional teacher from Modart, successfully won the gold medal with the theme of “Creation-nonfinite”. Mrs. Cao teaches fashion illustrations, textile and CAD in our institue. She also currently operates an independent fashion brand.
